How do I know what bat to buy?

Palisade Area Little League follows Little League Baseball rules for bat. Please click the link and search for your child's division.

Where can I find the Little League rulebook?

You can download the official Little League rulebook app for free on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can also purchase an e-book online.

What is the purpose of tryouts? Do some kids not make the team?

Tryouts are held for players in the Majors division and up. We do this as a skill assessment to place players in divisions based on skill level, not just age. Our league's top priority is safety and positively developing young athletes. All registered players are guaranteed to be on a team and play as part of Little League International's mandatory play rules.

What does my registration pay for?

Your registration pays for our lease of the fields from D51, utilities, umpires, uniforms, team equipment, website cost, mandatory insurance for property, liability, and Little League fees just to name a few.

How long are the games?

Tball- Games last between 45 min to 1 hr. 15 min.

50/70 Intermediate & up- 7 innings unless extended because of a tie score or shortened because the home team needs none of its half of the sixth inning.

Can a player wear jewelry, such as rings or earrings while playing?

Players are not permitted to wear jewelry such as, but not limited to, rings, watches, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. The only exception is jewelry that alerts medical personnel to a specific condition. - Rule 1.11(j) in the Little League Rulebook.

Why does Little League enforce a pitch count?

How many pitches are allowed?

Pitch count exists for the arm safety of the pitcher.
